After a hearty breakfast, embark on an adventure into the past today - two UNESCO World Heritage Sites are on the program.

You start with Mycenae, the former center of Greek civilization. Heinrich Schliemann was one of the first archaeologists to bring light into the darkness - or so he believed. In a telegram, Schliemann described his finds as beautiful treasures that could fill entire museums with their splendor.

Then it's off to Epidaurus - the most famous open-air theater in the world. The holistic healing center was dedicated to the god of medicine, Asclepius. It was also here that world-famous philosophers such as Plato first gave Greek tragedy its definition.

After a refreshing lunch, you leave the Peloponnese via the Corinth Canal and head towards Athens. The narrow canal was carved into the rock by human hands and transformed the Peloponnese into a real island. After a tour of Athens, you can end the day however you like in the vibrant metropolis.
